before breakfast

Before breakfast font with free download

Wakey, wakey eggs and bakey! Before Breakfast font, my new typeface creation. I Found a great new app for my iPad called iFontMaker.

It allows you to draw glyphs on your iPad and then turn those glyphs into a typeface—how cool is that.

Before Breakfast created in under ten minutes

Love the app, it’s so easy to use, and its quick, like really quick. To prove how easy it was, I challenged myself to create a font in under ten minutes—this is the result.

Once you design the font on the iPad, you simply press an upload button and the conversion is done. You can then email the download link to yourself and install on your desktop.

Before Breakfast font

It was drawn right out of my head—with my fat index finger! I even had time to add few slab bits to make it look more interesting.

I’ve kind of styled this like a slab font, so I guess you would describe it as hand-drawn slab?

I wanted it to be fun and cute—I think it is, I hope you do.

The font name?

I’ve decided to call it before breakfast—because I designed it before I had breakfast (I’m quite simple that way!).

I never did cook the full English—I had egg on toast! Hmmm, egg on toast.

That is all.

  1. Hi! This post could not be written any better!
Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate!
He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this article to him.
Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Hey Simon the font is nice, but it isn’t free as advertised. It asks me to pay $5. Is the font not free anymore?

  3. I’m trying to use the font as webfont, but for some reason, in some mobile browser, the results are strange signs in differnet fonts, some even in the before breakfast font.

    • Ah, and by the way: I try to use this font for a website of an open youth-center in Germany. It gives a playful, child-matching look. It would be sooooooooo great, to have the letters ö,ä and ü included. Greets from Germany and thanks for this nice and easy font.
