Gods own junkyard font with free download

This post is short and sweet. The idea of a neon sign came up at work, a co-worker was looking for one. So I thought I’d make one. Not a filled neon, a proper tube looking neon.

The inspiration came from Chris “The Neon Man” Bracey. Chris was a British designer and artist who owned one of the biggest collections of neon signs and sculpture outside the United States.

Chris ran his own studio called Gods Own Junkyard in Walthamstow in north-east London. He died on the 1st of November 2014, at the age of 59 from prostate cancer.

I never knew Chris and I’ve never been to Gods Own Junkyard (will do soon), but I love his work and his fighting spirit.

His story inspired me to create this font. My Grandfather also has prostate cancer, but he has managed to keep it at bay.

If you would like to help find a cure for Prostate cancer, you can give a one-off payment to Prostate Cancer Uk.

I was originally going to call this Gods own Graveyard, but I stuck with Junkyard.

    Hi Simon,

Really love this font and it is something we are looking to use in a design.

We are currently using Affinity Designer & Affinity Photo Beta but for us to use the font in the nature you intended (with the glow) we could do with the details/settings of the action.

Any help would be much appreciated. If you can provide we will have no problem paying for the full commercial licence.

    Thanks

        Thanks for the response.

I have all those effects that I can apply. Are there set values for the the effects mentioned? If not we will download the free font and have a play.

        thanks
