Everyday Is Like Sunday taken from Morrissey’s first solo album, way back in 1987. I’m not a mad Morrissey fan but liked this track enough to create this lettering piece. I gave it a distressed feel with my Rock and Roller letterpress pack.
The background is the Helter Skelter in Southend-on-Sea—the same place Morrissey shot the video.
Apparently the track was inspired by a novel called “On the Beach” by Nevil Shute. It was about a bunch of people waiting for nuclear war in Melbourne—like you do.
