Lake of fire illustration

Lake of Fire. Remember when Nirvana they did MTV unplugged—Awesome. They performed a whole lot of covers, Lake of Fire was one of them. A song that was written by Curtis Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets. In fact if you can recall Kurt called Curtis and Cris Kirkwood on stage to help play the song.

The album release was unintentionally their last album (Kurt died 5 months later), and it’s over 20 years old! Some song lyrics seem to stick in my head and this is no exception. The line

Where do bad folks go when they die?
They don’t go to heaven where the angels fly
They go to the lake of fire and fry

That’s a heavy line.
