Taylor Swift painting

Taylor Swift has built a career from turning private moments into songs recognised by millions. Heartbreak, reinvention, revenge and romance — nothing is wasted when it can become a chorus.

This expressive portrait captures some of that confidence and complexity without trying to make everything perfectly polished. Loose brushwork, layered colour and fractured details give the painting movement, allowing her face to emerge from the marks rather than simply sitting on top of them.

I created the original artwork on my iPad, digitally combining different painting techniques before printing it onto a wood panel. I then worked back into the image by hand, adding real paint, drips and physical textures.

The finished piece sits somewhere between a digital portrait and a traditional mixed-media painting. Visible brush marks and hand-applied details give the surface genuine depth, making every copy slightly different.

It would make a distinctive gift for any Taylor Swift fan, pop-music enthusiast or collector of expressive portrait art — particularly someone who wants something with more character than a conventional poster.

I only have two copies of this artwork. Each one is finished individually by hand, so the paint marks and finer details will vary slightly from the image shown.
