About Misfitz font

Misfitz is a modern and playful bold sans-serif display font. This unique typeface, influenced by bold geometric fonts from the 1930s and American wood types from the late 19th century, was originally created on an iPad.

Super clean and bold

With its super clean lines, Misfitz strikes a balance between modernity and eccentricity. It manages to maintain legibility while adding a touch of human warmth to its bold design. While it's best suited for larger point sizes, it can work effectively at smaller sizes as well, offering versatility in usage.

Misfitz font usage

Misfitz can lend a modern vintage look to your designs, making it a charming and fun typeface to work with. It's a perfect choice for various display purposes, including branding, logo designs, invitations, editorial work, posters, headings, stationery, wall art, stickers, packaging, and more, especially when you want to give that bold urban aesthetic.

OpenType contextual alternatives

One of the standout features of Misfitz is its OpenType contextual alternatives. These alternatives allow you to swap out specific letter combinations, including interlocking letter pairs that give your design a distinctive street or urban look. The typeface also offers several stylistic sets, including smaller underlined characters for each letter and a selection of wider or narrower glyphs.

To access these alternates, you can activate them through OpenType features like Contextual and Stylistic sets in compatible design programs. Alternatively, you can manually select the characters from the Glyph Palette.

Furthermore, Misfitz boasts an extended character set that supports Central and Eastern European as well as Western European languages.

If Misfitz font were a celebrity

If Misfitz were to take on the persona of a celebrity, it would be none other than Quentin Tarantino. Just like Tarantino's films, Misfitz exudes an edgy and non-conformist spirit. Its bold and unconventional style makes it a standout choice for projects that seek to break free from the ordinary and embrace a unique, cinematic aesthetic.
