About Munky

Meet Munky, the slab serif font that's like a big bowl of typographic goodness.

In case you're wondering, a slab serif font is all about those bold and chunky serifs that make a statement. Think of it as the John Cena of typefaces—bold, robust, and ready to grab your attention.

But Munky is no serious suit-and-tie font; it's got a playful and cheeky side. Its serifs are like oversized characters in a quirky story, adding charm and a touch of mischief.

It's not just for fancy headlines; Munky plays well in everyday sentences too.

So whether you're branding, packaging, writing books, or sending out invites, Munky brings a relaxed vibe without going overboard on the goofiness.

Now, where did the name come from? Well, it's a nod to the classic Japanese TV series Monkey, based on the epic "Journey to the West." This show was a wild ride of adventure, and as a kid, I was totally hooked. The name Monkey was already taken, so I gave it my own twist and turned it into Munky.

The munky font includes:

  • One weight bold
  • Upper and lowercase
  • Numbers
  • Punctuation & Symbols
  • Western European characters
  • Central European characters
  • South Eastern European characters
  • OTF

If Munky font were a celebrity

If Munky font were a celebrity, it would be John Cena—like a typographic powerhouse—bold, attention-grabbing, and always ready to make a statement!
