Try Autobahn stencil font
About Autobahn stencil
Autobahn is a display stencil font that is about as realistic spray paint stencil font as you can get (easy for me to say). Thanks to the new OpenType-SVG bitmap technology Autobahn has an incredible amount of detail—it blows the traditional vector font out of the water.
Rather than just one solid colour, OpenType SVG Bitmaps fonts allow full-colour bitmaps. No more solid colour and full transparency, this typeface has bags of detail.
Autobahn stencil font
Autobahn was created with real cardboard stencils that I cut out by hand. Yup using a stencil and cardboard my little fat digits really took the brunt of creating this font.
I then used black acrylic spray paint to create every glyph. Autobahn intentionally sets out to emulate modern graffiti lettering.
The typeface is far from flawless. Some letters have a perfect spray look, some have tons of overspray or paint splatters. The real spray paint gives it a unique texture like it’s damaged and rough.
Autobahn is edgy, messy and distressed just like it would be in the real world.
The typeface is ideal for getting that bold military style or the urban street look. Excellent for packaging, album covers, advertising, headlines, book covers and posters.
It will definitely give your designs that unique graffiti look.
Bonus real spray paint drips
Included with the Autobahn font is a collection of 42 high-resolution spray paint drips.
All created with real spray paint on real paper but they have a fully transparent background. That means you can easily change the colour in Photoshop or your painting application of choice.
Autobahn is a Unicase typeface
Autobahn is a unicase font, which means it has no lowercase letters. Everything is in uppercase. It does contain alternative uppercase letters in the lowercase a-z and a few more additional glyphs with missing counters. So each A-Z letter has at least two alternatives to give the font a more random look.
If the font Autobahn were a celebrity
If the font Autobahn were a celebrity, it would embody the rebellious and unconventional spirit of Kurt Cobain, the iconic frontman of Nirvana. Just as Kurt Cobain was known for his raw and unapologetic approach to music, Autobahn font captures a similar sense of chaos and edginess in the world of typography.
