Fierce font is a hand-painted full-colour brush display typeface. Using the new OpenType-SVG font capabilities that now bring full colour to Mac Photoshop fonts.
The beauty of a full-colour font is that it keeps all the lovely details that my original painting included. It's not just black; it has hundreds of subtle shades, dirt, and grime. The font is basically a series of images.
I created Fierce with acrylic paint, painted on transparency film so that I could keep all the details
and make the background transparent. I then photographed them (yes photographed, not scanned) into Photoshop and converted them to a typeface using the awesome FontSelf plugin.
That means that you can easily change the color of the font in Photoshop by adding a color overlay. That said, the font comes with black and white versions. It also comes with a Photoshop file that includes all the glyphs in much super high resolution. I've also included a traditional version of the font (without color) that can be used just like any other font.
