I've never used a 3D rendering program to make a typeface before. But that's exactly what I've done with my new font called Yeah.
Each letter was modeled in Cinema 4D to look like those gold foil mylar balloons. Very big, and bold and very Kitsch. The 3D models were then taken into Photoshop. The font itself was created with Fontself. With the new OpenType-SVG features, this font is a fully blown bitmap font.
Yeah Font - 3 Styles
It comes in three styles: gold foil, silver foil, and just plain old black (traditional vector font). It would be ideal for graphics for anniversaries, birthday cards, weddings, baby showers, social and any other simple message that you can think of. The font is a unicase font, so it only contains uppercase characters. Yeah also includes numbers, basic punctuation, and some symbols. For a full list of letters, please check the last screenshot.
- Full-color font with 2 styles: gold and silver
- Basic western uppercase letters
- Basic punctuation and symbols
- Numbers
- Full set of letters as .png files
- Full set of letters as .psd files
- Also includes a black and white font
Please note: OpenType-SVG is a new technology, it only became an industry standard in 2016. At the moment, color bitmap fonts will only work on MacOS. Check full support for color bitmap fonts. They will work with most Mac native apps like Pages, Keynote, TextEdit, and Safari. Illustrator CC 2018+ and Photoshop CC 2017+ officially support and display color fonts. InDesign CC 2018 has got unofficial support. For PC users, I have included all the letters as .png and .psd files so you can still use them for your designs.
