Have you ever watched Ted Lasso? It's funny, during lockdown, my girlfriend started binging it because her mates said it was absolutely brilliant. Honestly, I thought, 'What's all the fuss about?' I mean, it's just a show about football, right? So, I gave it a shot. First couple of episodes, I was like, 'Eh, it's alright, I guess.' But then, something strange happened. Higgs Boson Blues was hand-carved onto lino blocks, yeah really. I bought a pack of 10 lino blocks mounted onto wood just to create this typeface.  Now, you might be wondering why I'd go through all this trouble just for a typeface. Well, let me tell you, I find carving lino therapeutic, and it's a good escape from the computer screen—always a good thing, isn't it? What's Lino? I've never used a 3D rendering program to make a typeface before. But that's exactly what I've done with my new font called Yeah. Each letter was modeled in Cinema 4D to look like those gold foil mylar balloons. Very big, and bold and very Kitsch. The 3D models were then taken into Photoshop. The font itself was created with Fontself. With the new OpenType-SVG features, this font is a fully blown bitmap font.
