Just Like Heaven Font has irregular letterforms, shifting widths and playful proportions. Some letters stretch. Others lean. Every word feels as though it has been painted by hand rather than assembled by a machine.
That imperfection is precisely the point.
Used large, it gives a headline movement. Used on packaging, it adds personality. Put it on a poster and it refuses to become background decoration.
The font has a distinctly English eccentricity: expressive without becoming sentimental, rebellious without making a terrible fuss about it.
It doesn’t shout for attention.

Inspired by The Cure
The name comes from The Cure’s 1987 song, “Just Like Heaven”—a track that became part of the soundtrack to my art-school years.
That influence found its way into the typeface: dreamy but energetic, elegant but slightly strange. There is beauty in it, but there is also tension. A little romance. A little rebellion.
If the Just Like Heaven Font were a person, it would probably be Robert Smith: instantly recognisable, artistically fearless and never in danger of looking ordinary.
You don’t need to be designing an album cover to use it.
But you may feel the urge to start a band.
Four ways to say the same thing differently
Real handwriting never repeats itself perfectly. Fonts usually do.
That is why Just Like Heaven Font includes four alternate versions of every uppercase and lowercase letter.
In OpenType-compatible applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, these alternatives can cycle through repeated characters. The result feels more natural, spontaneous and hand-rendered.
Type the same letter twice and it doesn’t have to look the same twice.
A small technical detail.
A very big visual difference.
