LNER, the new east coast mail line operator launched a new ad campaign that celebrates the broad tapestry of modern British train travel.
As part of that campaign, they commissioned local artists to create works inspired by train travel. I was commissioned to paint a landscape of the East coast from the view of inside a train.
My part was to create a generic landscape that was drenched in warm sunlight, over green and brown hills. The landscape would then be framed by a train window, like its being viewed from the inside of a train.
The image would then be used on billboard and print adverts run across the Uk.
